Just 25 km outside Fort Portal one of Uganda’s beautiful and organized cities is Kibale Forest National park. The park is praised for being one of the excellent safari destinations in Africa, East Africa and Uganda.
Its attractive nature of which it’s praised is because of the beautiful varied tropical rain forests which hold Uganda’s phenomenon wildlife of which people come time to time to have a glimpse in a memorable Africa Safari to Uganda.

The park is best known for having an incredible Chimpanzee population with a total of more than 1450 being protected within the borders of the park.

Because of the varied attitude, the national park generally holds different habitats ranging from wet tropical forest, wetlands and a coverage on the plateau and the dry tropical forest with a woodland and savannah vegetation nested along the rift valley which gives a beautiful scenery.
At around 55m high, the lush canopy of gathered green trees is seen as a proof of presence of over  351 registered species that comprise of tall trees, short trees, woodland, grasses and many more species like herbs, shrubs, ferns spread all over the lush environment.

One of the enormous cases for different safari tours made usually to the Kibale national park is the presence of an incredible and sound wildlife. 
Most of the wildlife that thrive with in this forest park are primates, while chimpanzees are the most prominent, the park is also home to baboons, black & white colobus monkeys, red - tailed monkeys, Vervet monkeys, among others.
Kibale National park supports life for mammals too with majorly buffalo, leopards, forest elephants, bush pigs and Duiker but in rare instances these can be seen.
Roaming are over 250 Butterfly species around the park with very astonishing colors, would be a must see genre on a safari to Kibale national park by any visitor. African pitta, green breasted pitta, black bee-eater, yellow spotted nicator, yellow rumped tinker bird, little greenbul, black-eared ground thrush, brownchested alethe, blue-breasted kingfisher, Abyssinian ground thrush, and the crowned eagle are some of the specials on the list that one can look forward to seeing while on a Uganda tour to Kibale Forest national park.

In addition to wildlife, bird life cannot be undermined at Kibale Forest national park. For a successful safari in Uganda, expect to encounter many different species of over 375 birds the park prides in. With outstanding species like the black-capped apalis, blue-headed sunbird, collared apalis, dusky crimsonwing, purple-breasted sunbird and red-faced woodland warbler and so much more.
